Reflection 3 – Letter to a New Student: Note: This letter may be given to a new student on the first day of class. Write a letter to a brand-new BYU student reflecting on how you have changed and what you have learned this semester in UNIV 101. This student is similar to who you were when you started: smart, capable, and barely starting to learn what it means to be a disciple-scholar.

In your letter, clearly explain:

  1. The most important things a new BYU student should know, including 2–3 campus resources that have been helpful to you.
  2. What you recommend they do to become a successful disciple-scholar.

Support your claims with evidence such as personal experiences, course readings, or class discussions. Be sure to address at least two course learning outcomes (see Syllabus). Your letter should be at least 500 words or about two double-spaced pages.
