Create a new artifact that both demonstrates your learning and growth and answers the key questions for this course (i.e., why am I here at BYU? who do I hope to become? how can I serve others?)
- Draw on your talents and choose to create a work of art or compose a photograph; record a video, speech, or short podcast; create an infographic; or anything else (aside from a traditional prose essay) that allows you to demonstrate your learning.
- This is not meant to be a fully polished or perfect artifact. Please put in enough time to produce a quality piece of work that represents your learning, but this shouldn’t take over your life. We don’t anticipate you taking more than 2 – 3 hours to create the artifact.
- To accompany the artifact, provide a one- to two-page “creator/artist statement” that
- shares why you chose this medium;
- describes how your artifact demonstrates your growth,
- explains how it answers the key questions for our Foundations course; and
- references specific experiences you’ve had this semester, in and outside of your classes, that have made key contributions to your learning.
